Diabetes Kerala 2012 organized by Kesavadev Trust and Jothydev’s Diabetes and Research Centre with support from International Diabetes Federation focused in spreading diabetes awareness among the public through a Road Show throughout Kerala and Play the Blue Experiential Campaign which conveys the importance of exercise in daily life to control diabetes in an interactive way.

The K2K blue wagon from Kaliyikkavila to Kasaragodu spread the message of blue circle and importance of diabetes prevention and treatment among the masses. The flag off of the K2K Blue Wagon was performed by cine artist Shri. Maniyan Pillai Raju on 17 Nov 2012 in the presence of a massive gathering at Chandrasekharan Nair Stadium, Trivandrum.

Play the Blue campaign accompanied the Blue Wagon across the 14 districts of Kerala setting up Kiosk in key locations spreading the IDF messages on prevention of diabetes- Diabetes: Protect our Future and implicating the importance of physical activity. The Blue Wagon displayed a huge Blue Circle which is the universal symbol of diabetes.
